How do we trust again…..frankly the only way to go about it is to go in elevating our perpective. We have to start by saying, “everyone has my trust until proven otherwise.” BUT as a disclaimer, by otherwise, I do not mean that mistakes will not happen because they will, we have to ask of ourselves, instead, two things: “Is this person still with integrity in my eyes and are/were his or her intentions good?” Many are aware of the opposing yet popularly adapted thinking of “you have to earn my trust before I just give it to you.” Here is my thought or rather argument on such a thinking, even trustworthy people have the potential to hurt us so we cannot avoid the inevitable.

When we ask someone to earn our trust we set them up to be without mistake and well we all know as human beings that is just a manual we DO NOT come without. If someone has the capacity to make us feel then they also have the same capacity to hurt us, to allow us to feel fearful, and to be less trusting….that is just how it is. How many times have we let ourselves down and despite that we continue to pour into ourselves? We have to look at trusting in this same fashion; we have to take a leap out on faith and just trust.

We have to realize that as we elevate our perspective that we can navigate through anything if we stop trying to avoid being hurt and just trust ourselves. By trusting ourselves we can learn to deal with whatever comes our way, especially regarding trust and we can also do so with more finess and grace. Trusting, then, suddenly becomes easier to do again, and viola, there we have it, we are trusting again!!!!
