Up Close and Personal with Gessie Belizaire Part II

Hello again, if you are just now tuning in, this is the 2nd part to a 3 part series Q&A with yours truly on life’s wonderful journey(I want to say a special thank you to those returning). Without further adieu I bring to you my inside thoughts.

11. What are your favorite memories?
Favorite memories involve family, close friends, belly laughs, dancing without care, eating great food, and stimulating conversations.

12. Who do you love the most (list 10 people you would want on a life boat in case of disaster)?

13. What worries you the most and why?
Losing my peace of mind and being unable to get back in touch with my mind or reality.

14. What type of people inspire you and make you come alive?
The types of people that inspire me and make me come alive are the type of people who despite everything defy the odds and give the Lord all the glory in the process.

15. What types of people bring you down and make you dislike self?
The type of people who think they are in this by themselves and for that reason are only concerned with self and who cling onto everything that is a part of this worldly world.

16. Who are your mentors and what have they taught you?
My mentors are as following and in this order: Lord – Has taught me how to order my steps in His word, Life – Meet it with a smile because it goes on with or without you, daughter – patience and love in its purest form, mother – how to be a woman, father – discipline.

17. What is your cosmic elevator pitch? (what would you tell someone on an elevator headed to space about you to let them know who you are)
Hi I’m gessie…I’m Haitian born; I come from a long line of fighters. I believe in love and I strive to exude that belief in how I think, act, and live in this world.

18. What issues can you help with?
I can help with issues pertaining to self love/identity, colorism, inequality, health disparities,and trust/forgiveness.

19. How can you express yourself creatively?
I can express myself creatively by writing, singing, producing programs/productions.

20. How do you manage your time? What works for you?
How I manage my time is by setting priorities for the day and for the week. To meet that deliverable I operate daily using a 50-10 model; where you work on one task at hand for 50 minutes straight, then you take a 10 minute break before returning to the task or moving on to a new task when completed.
