Most people do not know how stressed they are until their health is affected and or it is too late;  After we have that ulcer, that high blood pressure, or are dealing with insomnia from sleeping too little, eating too much, or not eating enough. It is usually only then do we want to reevaluate our lives and how we operate in it.  If you are not under that category maybe you are in the curveball category. Sometimes life throws us curve balls all at once that makes dealing with stress nearly unbearable.  We lose a parent and a sibling all in the same month all while discovering that our partner is battling with depression.  Life is not fair….right?  I know it can feel like it is not but we have to understand that we cannot change those circumstances that were previously mentioned.  All we can do is control our attitude towards those scenarios.  I also can offer to you in the process some tips on how to cope with stress.

  1. Know when you are stressed

Learn to recognize and to record instances that make you stressed and work on creating alternative ways to deal with those stressors.

  1. Just relax already

Make time in your day to decompress and to just relax.  There are many relaxation techniques that you can look into that exist out there.

  1. Manage your time

When you learn to manage your time, it reduces the stress that you feel by not having enough time to complete any said task.  It also increases your ability to create free time so you can do as number two suggested and just relax.

  1. Do not over commit

If your load is too great do not over commit or be afraid to say no.

  1. Make time for fun

With each day, you should strive to make time to do something that brings you pleasure.  It is always good to have something fun to look forward to.  It really helps to break the monotony of everyday living.

  1. Positive thinking

Do not be a negative Nancy by dwelling on the bad.  Instead reflect on the good things ….things you have achieved that have brought you success even.

  1. Take care of yourself

Be mindful of what goes into your body.  Make sure to make time to break a sweat daily, eat well/exercise, and get plenty of rest.

  1. Off load the stress by seeking help from others

You are not in this thing called life alone so do not try to handle your stress alone.  Seek help from those you love/a professional.

I hope you have found these tips on how to be stress free to be helpful.  Until next time, take care and be true. #thislifeiliveintruth
